Prince Kamijo sketch
Photoshop
July 2009

I've been rather unproductive outside of work recently, so to get my muse going again, I decided to do a portrait sketch. Kamijo! <3 In his Prince & Princess outfit. I must say, it's my favorite outfit of his so far, but I'll probably never do a polished painting of him with it, not just because it's very intricate; all his costumes are, especially now! But there's just too much white, so it's practically impossible to see exactly what's going on with it, especially since visual-kei just loves overexposing photographs. -_- Which of course I did not imitate because painters hate overexposure. >o<

Anyway, the pose was inspired by a particular photo--though I didn't reference it--and of course I spent a great deal of time searching for and staring at various pictures of the clothes for reference. I didn't bother really referencing his face since I know pretty well what he looks like. ^o^ And I wasn't aiming for photorealism anyway.
